Christmas Excitement

What a crazy two weeks! It was Isaac's first Christmas. He didn't really know what the excitement was all about. He got a present here and there and then Santa Claus came! We thought he would just be interested in the wrapping paper but he really wanted to play with the new toys. It was hard to bring him back to open the presents! He got the hang of it by the third family party though. We'd start the tear and then he'd rip the paper off!

Isaac caught on to some other things as well. He finally figured out how to crawl. It is amazing how he literally just figured it out. No one showed him how to do it. He wanted to get somewhere and he made his little arms and legs do what they needed to do. He has also figured out how buttons work. Not shirt buttons but buttons on his toys and light switches. Our light switches are flat so all he has to do is push on it with his hand and the light goes on or off. He turns the light on or off when we go into his bedroom now. He got a toy from my uncle that looks like the front of a house. On one side, it is like being outside and on the other, inside. Isaac likes to ring the doorbell. It can get a little annoying but he's so cute that it is hard to mind the sound over and over and over again!

We are a little worried about our basement stairs but we are trying to keep the door closed and have plans to buy some gates in the next week or so. That is all of the Isaac Christmas Excitement for now. He is getting pretty close to pulling himself up on the furniture. He just isn't quite strong enough to get himself up. The other day, he took 3 or 4 steps holding just one of my hands. It's kind of crazy how fast he is learning new things.
